That time in Italy…

There was the time in Italy when I was 19…
I had forgotten to pay a city tram fare and the Polizia Federale (police) busted me…
They were super aggressive and pretty much taking me away… when a charming and very old Italian man paid my ticket and they let me go…
When I turned to thank him, he was gone. Perhaps an Angel…either way, it was grace–even though I was in the wrong…
I felt protected and cared for… It brought me to tears. I always paid my fare after that.
